Dynamic Publishing and Hosting

The Convey dynamic publishing and hosting service enables the Customer to provide this content to its end users in three ways.

  1. Formal structured self-study learning programs with completion tracking – Instead of publishing SCORM packages and uploading them into the LMS manually, the Customer publishes these courses to the Convey dynamic publishing and hosting service then connects the Conveyhosted content into its LMS for launching and tracking. When changes or edits are required, the updated content is republished to Convey and is instantly available for launching from the LMS. The customer does not need to upload new SCORM packages into the LMS for updates.
  2. Informal access to structured self-study learning programs – The client publishes the exact same courses to Convey as Public Share Links (instead of SCORM) to instantly create website versions. The automatically generated URL links can then be posted any place they are needed. Content updates are also automatically available as soon as they are ready.
  3. Just-in-time access to information and answers when end users are working in the software tool, in the flow of their work – The Customer team publishes its Knowledge Base project to Convey as a Public Share Link to create an instant website. The automatically generated URL can then be posted any place it is needed. Recently the Customer team embedded the Knowledge Base URL right within its software interface under its Help menu item to enable the Knowledge Base to be an inline help and performance support feature within the software itself.

One edit reflects across all relevant courses.

Thanks to Convey they no longer have to involve other teams, such as an LMS administrator, to publish content. Now, with dominKnow | ONE the team can one-click the publish button and the learner sees those changes immediately.

dominKnow | ONE’s branching feature allows designers to create one project for multiple audiences. This supports an agile way of working, reduces redundant design, and ensures learners receive accurate content across all audiences.

“Branching has allowed us to take similar or like content and create it in one seamless course of a container, making it one project that we have to update and maintain. As soon as learners select their role [in the course], the content is dynamically enhanced based on the line of business or the role they selected. We can take like content with only similar or minor changes and package it in one single course, which also is a drain from a design perspective and maintenance and update. Not only that, but we can make sure consistent messaging on like content is delivered consistently across all employees.”

Using dominKnow | ONE Discover developed Dynamic micro learning templates centered around specific desired job skills. Within the first six months they were able to scale these templates over 200 job skilled micro learning deliverables into their platform.

This allowed Discover to cater to learner groups seeking:

  3. even upskilling for future job roles that exist within the company

Discover also created simulations using Capture. Capture allowed Discover to create short-term linear simulations embedded into existing content, standalone content, published as a refresher, a quick learning nugget, or enhancement.

As a result, dominKnow | ONE allowed Discover to story tell and provide real-life examples that resonate and engage their learners thorough job aids and infographics.

Overall, the Discover team has made vast improvements to the way they deliver content to their learners resulting in easier adoption and content being retained while on the job.
