This week we talked with Myra Roldan about a practical "Back to Basics" approach to Learning & Development.

Everyone now and then, no matter how experienced you are at your craft, you should take some time to reflect on the basics.

Myra Roldan joined us on IDIODC to talk about a practical "Back to Basics" approach to Learning & Development.

It might sound like an easy thing to do, but sometimes getting back to basics is harder than it sounds.

This episode flexed our instructional design muscles while Myra helped us work backwards with the end in mind. She helped us all see that we should focus on what the business needs, FIRST.

And then work back towards an appropriate learning intervention.

We also discussed the basics of business acumen for new instructional designers and those wanting to start a career in ID.  We’re all seeing a rise in the number of practitioners making the transition from education, or as trainers want to learn more about instructional design.

If you want to help the next generation of IDs or you are part of that growing population of job-shifters, then this episode is for you. Check it out.
